The meeting was initiated with discussing the results of the violations for the month of September; which was “anything on wheels.” Ninety-seven percent of the residents complied with only having four issues. One trailer, two unlicensed vehicles, and one boat parked in the driveway. All issues were resolved within a week. Other issues that were resolved during the month of September were three lots with overgrown weeds. Residents did a wonderful job!
Discussed how the trash can violation will be addressed. A motion was made to consider trash cans on an individual bases as an exception should be made for elderly people.
A discussion took place regarding any new violation that was present at the time. Nobody was aware of any immediate issues.
An open discussion was made regarding the political sign issue that arose at the previous general meeting. As it was unclear on why the ACC addressed political signs at the general meeting. It was reconfirmed that the board had requested the ACC to make a determination if we would allow for signs; which was the reason why the ACC voted on the political signs two days prior to the meeting. Also, it was said that the ACC should make a decision on this issue as some of the political representatives were going to be brings signs to be distributed to the residents.
Discussed if a “blanket variance” should be handled by the ACC or the board. Should the ACC just handle it or should the ACC give its recommendations and present it to the board. For example, Garden of the month signs, general meeting signs, and high school signs. A motion was made to finalize the decision with the board on November, 10th meeting with the board
A discussed was made to place a number on every various so that a log could be created for future needs. Everyone agreed.
